BLACKPINK’s Jisoo is currently in the eye of the storm after a report came out stating that one alleged member of her family committed a crime. However, Jisoo took over social media to clear the air on the ongoing situation.
On April 20, BLISSOO, Jisoo’s music agency, took over social media to release an official statement via its legal representative, Kim & Chang, clarifying that the matter circulating online has no connection to the artist or the agency.
The controversy began after reports emerged that a man in his 30s, identified as A, had been arrested on charges of sexually harassing a female internet broadcaster. As speculation spread online, suggesting that the individual was Jisoo’s older brother.
“While the artist may have received limited advice from family members during the early stages of establishing the company, no family member has ever received compensation or participated in decision-making. Jisoo nor BLISSOO has provided any financial or legal support to the individual in question, nor do they plan to do so in the future.”
