On October 6, 2025, she posted a mysterious teaser photo on her social media, capturing a male silhouette behind her in the dark alongside the word “EYESCLOSED” across the frame. The caption? It mysteriously read A duet is near,” instantly sending fans into detective mode. Then, a follow-up post revealed a bit more, teasing “two voices, one orbit, coming soon.”
The secret man turned out to be Zayn Malik, the former One Direction member. He was spotted at BLACKPINK’s New York concert on July 27 with his daughter Khai, later thanking the quartet for the show in one of his posts. This collab marks the first time Jisoo is joining forces with a featured artist, as all of her previous songs from her two mini-albums have been solo efforts.
The upcoming release will be JISOO’s first new music since her solo EP “Amortage” dropped in February 2024. That project featured girly pop tracks with a dance-ready feel, such as “Earthquake” and “Hugs & Kisses.” Jisoo is currently taking a break from the Deadline World tour, which resumes on October 18 in Kaohsiung, Taiwan, with the whole BLACKPINK squad.
