However, it’s not a surprise the song is taking awards home as it reached number one on the Bugs real-time chart and Apple Music’s “Today’s TOP 100: Korea” chart. It also topped YouTube’s trending videos in South Korea.
“Less Than a Lover” features lo-fi guitar and vintage electric keyboard sounds, which were written and composed by Jennie. The song is all about the feelings between friendship and romance in a complex friends’ dynamics, which resonates with the audience and ultimately becomes one of the greatest songs of this week in the South Korean music program.
