To mark Hangeul Day, BLACKPINK’s Jennie stepped into design territory with the launch of Zen Serif, a Korean font created in partnership with her label OA Entertainment. This new venture officially launched on October 9, 2025, shedding light on the beauty of the Korean writing system and its rich heritage.
Zen Serif blends traditional calligraphic elements with smooth, modern lines, making Hangeul look elegant and easy to read. The font was also developed in collaboration with Meta, becoming the first Korean typeface available in Instagram’s Edits video tool. Starting this week, creators worldwide can use Zen Serif in their videos, adding a new touch to Korean content globally. About the project, OA Entertainment said:
“The Zen Serif font represents the identity of Jennie and OA Entertainment and to share the beauty of Hangeul with the world. Its release on Hangeul Day makes the project all the more meaningful.”
With this, the BLACKPINK member continues to champion her country’s creativity as Seoul’s tourism ambassador. Zen Serif proves that celebrating the Korean writing system can be stylish, forward-thinking, and elegant in effortless ways.
