BLACKPINK proved they’re still at the top of their game when their upcoming mini-album Deadline sold out in every version minutes after pre-sale opened on January 15, 2026. The news was shared on social media and quickly spread across major platforms as fans celebrated the group’s return as a full team.

The fast sell-out included the Black and Pink versions of the album, along with the Silver, Gray, and Mood Light editions. This success came even before the official release of the EP, which is scheduled for February 27, 2025. The achievement also confirms fans are eager for new music from the quartet after a long period in which they focused on their solo projects.

The mini-album marks a key moment for the group because BLACKPINK had spent much of 2024 and 2025 working on their individual projects. During that time, the members released their solo albums, filmed individual shows, and established their own companies. Their reunion began with the release of the single Jump on July 11, 2025. Fans had already shown strong support for that track, and many expected an even larger response once a full group comeback was confirmed.

Deadline shares its name with BLACKPINK’s current world tour, which began on July 5 and July 6, 2025, in Goyang, South Korea. The tour visited cities in North America, Europe, and Asia, an its set to conclude with final dates in Japan and South Korea in January 2026. While the group has not shared details on the track list or concept for the album yet, the early demand already hints at a new successful era for the quartet.
