Azealia Banks has once again turned heads for all the wrong reasons by attacking BLACKPINK’s Lisa. On May 5, 2025 after Lisa stunned at the Met Gala in a glam Louis Vuitton look, Banks took to social media to unleash a transphobic rant. She called Lisa a “ladyboy,” mocked her appearance, and even wrote, “Lisa is a man. I’m not walking that comment back.” The tweets didn’t stop there—she accused female K-pop idols of being “boys” due to their stamina.

The backlash was immediate. BLACKPINK and Lisa fans alike slammed Banks for her hateful tweets, calling her out for using transphobia and racism to stay relevant. Meanwhile, Lisa hasn’t responded to these comments publicly, but BLINKS and Lillies (her fandoms) have flooded social media with messages of outrage.

Unfortunately, this isn’t the first time Azealia Banks has come for Lisa. Back in February 2025, she dismissed the idol’s solo album “Alter Ego.” After one user asked her about her thoughts on the record, she replied with a smug “I don’t listen to K-pop,” and trashed fashion brands for choosing “garbage K-pop stars.”
