In the middle of the total radio silence on BLACKPINK’s contract renewal with YG Entertainment, it has been rumored that the South Korean agency could be debuting their upcoming girl group, BABYMONSTER.

In case you need some context: BABYMONSTER is going to be the next girl group to debut under YG Entertainment, after their previous one BLACKPINK slayed every Kpop stan with their first tracks about 7 years ago. We got to meet all the BABYMONSTER members through different videos and solo songs, and of course, the pre-release track “DREAM.”

But that nostalgic vibe and vocal talent we heard in their pre-debut single is not everything the BABYMONSTER girls have to offer. It lookes like they should be officially hitting stages and charts with a strong hip-hop concept in November, after the company delayed their official drop, which was supposed to happen at some point during August or September.

As we told you earlier this year, there could be a couple of reasons for these delays. First, we got that tea about BLACKPINK’s contract renewal, and we don’t think it’s gonna be spilled anytime soon. The BLACKPINK gang has remained super quiet, just like their agency.

Then, we got BABYMONSTER member, Ahyeon, who had some fans shook after using the n word. Even though there was no major buzz on that thing, some Kpop stans consider this could be the reason for her pre-debut profile not being updated, and, of course, the delay of BABYMONSTER’s debut.

But hold on, not everything’s bad news: the wait seems to be getting shorter now, as South Korean news portal, Naver, published an article about BABYMONSTER’s debut. Also, YG Entertainment dropped a teaser picture today, Tuesday October 10, confirming our girls will bless us with some visuals, choreography and vocals very soon.

Stay tuned in case a real monster comes out of this debut schedule mess!
