aespa is getting ready to return with new music in May 2026. On March 13, 2026, a representative from SM Entertainment told Maeil Business that the quartet was preparing a new album, intending to make a comeback at some point in May. This upcoming project will be aespa’s next Korean musical release in about eight months, following their September 2025 mini-album “Rich Man.”
The group has also been active in Japan, having recently released the Japanese single “Attitude,” which was chosen as the opening theme song for the animated series “Kill Blue.” This shows the girl group’s continued focus on promoting both in Japan and South Korea. Meanwhile, their upcoming album is already drawing attention after the release of “Rich Man.”
In addition to the new music, aespa is preparing for another major step in Japan. The group is set to start their first Japanese dome tour in April 2026. With a new album on the way and important promotions planned in Japan, aespa appears to be entering a busy season in 2026. More details about the concept, track list, and official release date of the group’s May comeback are expected to be announced soon.
