The ADOR vs Min Hee Jin and Danielle court battle has a new change
ADOR has lowered the amount of damages it is seeking in an ongoing civil lawsuit involving Former NewJeans member Danielle, her mother, and former CEO Min Hee Jin. According to industry sources on June 4, 2026, the company reduced its compensation claim from 43.1 billion KRW (approximately 31.4 million USD) to 33.09 billion KRW (about 24.1 million USD). The company explained that the change came after new legal representatives reviewed the case and reorganized its legal strategy.

ADOR appoints a new legal team
In a statement, ADOR said the lawsuit had been reexamined after the appointment of a new legal team. The company recently replaced its previous attorneys from Kim and Chang with lawyers from the law firm Leehan. The music company stated that the revised claim reflects the results of that review process and added that it plans to continue presenting additional arguments and evidence as the case moves forward. The first hearing in the lawsuit is currently scheduled for June 11, 2026.
The dispute remains focused on NewJeans’ activities
The legal dispute began in December 2025 after ADOR filed a lawsuit following the termination of Danielle’s exclusive contract. The company alleges that Danielle, her mother, and Min Hee Jin played a role in NewJeans’ attempt to exit the company in 2024. Meanwhile, NewJeans has been inactive as a group for 2 years. It remains unclear whether or not the group will return with new music as a 4-member team, following Danielle’s removal from the girlband.
