Director of the new Scream movie leaves the project.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n More than a month and a half ago, Christopher Landon<\/strong> announced on social media that he was leaving the franchise’s most recent entry, calling the production “a nightmare.”<\/p>\n “I guess now is as good a time as any to announce I formally exited Scream 7 weeks ago,” Landon wrote on X. “This will disappoint some and delight others. It was a dream job that turned into a nightmare. And my heart did break for everyone involved. Everyone.”<\/p><\/blockquote>\n <\/figure>\n \n No doubt the future of that franchise doesn’t look good at all. One of the solutions would be to reboot everything and start all over again, because without the main characters these new movies will no longer be what we were all hoping for.<\/p>\n I guess now is as good a time as any to announce I formally exited Scream 7 weeks ago.
