Tim Burton<\/strong>‘s “Nightmare Before Christmas<\/strong>” is a total underdog story. Remember when it first hit the screens in the 90s? It wasn’t exactly the smash hit we know and love today. But plot twist! 30 years later, the movie is a classic in its own right, thanks to its catchy tunes and iconic characters.<\/p>\n

With all this popularity (and Christmas holidays around the corner) it would only make sense to celebrate “The Nightmare Before Christmas” with a re-make, right? Well, the film’s creator, Tim Burton, is not really feeling that idea. He doesn’t want sequels<\/strong>, prequels<\/strong>, or re-boots<\/strong> of any kind.<\/p>\n

Need proof? Tim Burton himself sat down with Empire<\/strong> to talk about the movie’s 30th anniversary. When asked about a possible Nightmare Before Christmas movie, he straight up said no. The director is literally feeling like an old guy defending his property. This is what he said:<\/p>\n

“I\u2019ve done sequels, I\u2019ve done other things, I\u2019ve done reboots, I\u2019ve done all that shit, right? I don\u2019t want that to happen to this. It\u2019s nice that people are maybe interested [in another one], but I\u2019m not.”<\/p><\/blockquote>\n <\/figure>\n \n

So there you have it, it seems that Jack Skellington<\/strong>‘s story is not being renewed this season (or the next ones). It is clear that Tim Burton’s connection to Jack is one of a kind. For that reason, one epic adventure is totally enough.<\/p>\n

If you feel like revisiting the film, then head up to Disney+, because we won’t be having any new Nightmare Before Christmas stuff!<\/p>\n
