Apparently the studios are very angry about the actors’ strike, since after 4 months they did manage to reach a conclusion with the screenwriters, but apparently, with the actors the circumstances are different now<\/p>

CEOs suggested that certain TV shows<\/strong> would have to be canceled if the strike dragged on much longer. Some on the union side interpreted this as a threat, although from the studio side it was seen as establishing the basic realities of the broadcast production schedule. The union has argued that actors cannot make a sustainable living in the streaming ecosystem and that a radical transformation of the compensation structure is required, they said.<\/p>
