Being the King of the United Kingdom, it would be believed that Charles III<\/strong> would have all kinds of foods at his disposal at Buckingham Palace<\/strong>, however the reality is a little different, since certain foods and meals are prohibited.<\/p>\n

It was recently confirmed that the King’s palate is very demanding, this is due to the dinner at the Palace of Versailles when the monarch banned a meal that now cannot be served in any royal residence, it is foie gras<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

With the ban of this dish, the British monarch confirmed his commitment to the preservation of the environment<\/strong> and his opposition to the consumption of foie gras due to the animal suffering involved in its preparation.<\/p>\n

King Charles III also eliminated asparagus<\/strong> from his menu, even though it was the main ingredient<\/strong> in many dishes, since he is opposed to consuming products produced artificially or that are not grown nearby, and September is not its cultivation season.<\/p>\n

Furthermore, it has also been stated that Queen Elizabeth<\/strong>\u00a0did not approve of there being potatoes, pasta and rice in the Palace, a fact that her son has maintained since the day of her death, just as he cannot stand chocolate<\/strong> and coffee<\/strong> either.<\/p>\n

On the other hand, there is a food that the late queen\u00a0hated and currently her son too, it is garlic<\/strong> and this was due to its scent and taste. Others that should be served in few portions are onion and paprika to ensure good digestion.<\/p>\n

Finally, royals are prohibited from eating seafood<\/strong> outside the palace, and this was explained by butler Grant Harold<\/strong>\u00a0to Woman & Home magazine: “We don’t want a member of the royal family to have a serious intoxication<\/strong><\/em>” during an event or visit abroad.<\/p>\n
