The reason? Well, James was vibing with the idea of<strong> having the two films dropping on the same date<\/strong>. He even tweeted out <em><strong>&#8220;Exorswift,&#8221;<\/strong> <\/em>with hopes of bringing together fans of both movies, just like Barbie and Oppenheimer did with the massive &#8220;Barbenheimer.&#8221; Sadly, the director changed his mind and officially announced:<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-pullquote\">\n        <blockquote><p>&#8220;We had this amazing Friday the 13th in October, which is the single best day to release a scary movie. Obviously, we moved off that and we bowed our head to Taylor Swift. It was too risky to see if &#8216;Exorswift&#8217; was going to take or not.
