The MTV VMAs 2023<\/strong> were a music party with the Kpop genre<\/strong> at the forefront of the show. This is no surprise, as South Korean popular music has gained huge momentum<\/strong> in the last few years thanks to acts such as BTS, BLACKPINK, Twice, Tomorrow x Together and Stray Kids.<\/strong> As a result, the Video Music Awards were filled with Kpop nominations as well as performances!<\/p>\n

The show took place yesterday, September 12<\/strong> at the Prudential Center<\/strong> in New Jersey.<\/strong> During the show, Kpop acts were nominated in their signature category “Best Kpop,”<\/strong><\/em> and also “Song of the Summer,”<\/strong> “Group of the Year,”<\/strong> “Best Push Performance”<\/strong> <\/em>and additional professional categories.<\/p>\n

Much to the delight of Stray Kids<\/strong> fans, better known as STAY, their group was able to take home the “Best Kpop”<\/strong><\/em> for “S-CLASS.”<\/strong><\/em> In addition, TXT claimed the ward for “Best Push Performance of the Year”<\/strong><\/em> for “Sugar Rush Ride.”<\/strong><\/em> Both boybands were present at the ceremony and gave fans and attendees unforgettable performances!<\/p>\n
