The Superman<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0actor, Henry Cavill<\/strong>, made headlines earlier this year when it was revealed that he would be no longer playing Geralt de Rivia<\/strong>, the protagonist of the popular Netflix<\/strong> series, The Witcher<\/strong><\/em>. The actor played the lead character for the first three seasons of the show, and received a lot of praise from the fans for his spectacular rendition of Geralt. With such a perfect role, the news of his departure were very surprising and led fans to make up theories<\/strong> about the possible reasons for it.<\/p>\n

\nThere were a multitude of theories gaining popularity in social media, until the director of the series himself, Marc Jobst<\/strong>, spoke about it in a recent interview. He praised the actors work ethic, and also explained that Henry did his own fighting<\/strong> scenes and all the action stunts, which was a very difficult work.<\/p>\n

While discussing Cavill\u2019s hard work on the series, he explained that he doesn\u2019t like to get any help on his scenes. \u2018If he\u2019s doing a scene with his hand balancing a sword, you know that\u2019s his hand’<\/em>, clarifying that Henry Cavill does all of his scenes<\/strong>, including the ones where\u2019s he\u2019s handling a sword and the fight scenes, and there were a lot of scenes like that throughout the series.<\/p>\n

This, apparently, was what led the actor to take the decision of leaving the role behind. The amount of physical work needed to make the character convincing, along with the injury<\/strong> Henry Cavill had on set, was too much to bear.<\/p>\n
