BTS<\/strong>\u2019 RM<\/strong> is back in the spotlight for the wrong reasons after he was accused of being Islamophobic<\/strong> which cause a debate on social media. His fans, the so-called ARMY were the first ones to draw the line from the accusations and canceled him.<\/p>\n

On August 16, started the controversy after the South Korean rapper shared \u2018Bad Religion\u2019 by Frank Ocean in a story from his Instagram official social media account<\/strong>. This song is considered by many as a complete lack of respect<\/strong> because it mocks the Islamic religion<\/p>\n

The particular lyrics from the song which served as an argument to cancel RM were: \u201cHe said \u2018Allahu akbar.\u2019 I told him, \u2018Don’t curse me. \u2019Bo Bo, you need prayer. I guess it couldn’t hurt me. If it brings me to my knees, it’s a bad religion\u201d<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

Despite the fact that \u2018Allahu akbar.\u2019<\/em> translates ‘Allah is the greatest.’<\/em> the song is meant to show is a curse<\/strong> and that the Islamic religion is a bad religion. The song is about unrequited love but might be misinterpreted<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The ARMY around the world felt completely disrespected by RM\u2019s stories and called on him to respect the Islamic religion and he apologizes<\/strong> to the community publicly. RM has not addressed the situation and it is expected if the controversy<\/strong> keeps growing exponentially the rapper must apologize releasing a statement in the next couple of days.<\/p>\n
