However, there was one K-drama that was <strong>banned<\/strong> because of the situation the country was passing through, but it is available to stream on Netflix.<\/p>\n<p>The K-drama, <em>\u201cExtracurricular,\u201d<\/em> surrounds the need of the protagonist who is forced to <strong>commit<\/strong> a crime to subsist against society and to be able to pay her loans with the university. Due to this, he started engaging in<strong> criminal activities<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The thriller series premiered in 2020 and shows the <strong>reality<\/strong> of many sex workers in South Korea and the protagonist, Oh Ji-soo who became owner of one of the <strong>largest<\/strong> sexual service networks in the city.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-78611\" src=\"https:\/\/www.musicmundial.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/07\/extracurricular-k-drama.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"800\" height=\"500\" title=\"\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.musicmundial.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/07\/extracurricular-k-drama.jpg 800w, https:\/\/www.musicmundial.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/07\/extracurricular-k-drama-300x188.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.musicmundial.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/07\/extracurricular-k-drama-768x480.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.musicmundial.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/07\/extracurricular-k-drama-750x469.jpg 750w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The K-drama was <strong>banned<\/strong> in South Korea and canceled for a second season after it was premiered because <strong>the country was facing a scandal regarding the <em>\u201cNth Room\u201d<\/em><\/strong> case, which involved blackmail, cybersex trafficking, and the spread of sexually exploitative videos via the Telegram between 2018 and 2020.<\/p>\n<p>The series received critical acclaim from different outlets. However, it had to be canceled to stop the <strong>controversy<\/strong> inside the country.
