The late Queen Elizabeth II was in Balmoral Castle when she was notified about the accident and she immediately decided to take a closer look at the news on television. On the other hand, King Charles III was completely devastated<\/strong> by the news and decided to travel to France right away despite the fact that he and Diana had broken up two years before.<\/p>\n

Charles was also the person in charge of notifying his sons, Prince William and Prince Harry, about what happened. It is now being reported that Elizabeth remained calm and reacted in an almost heartless<\/strong> way to the situation. However, Charles asked<\/strong> her to send a private plane to France so Diana\u2019s body could be brought back to the United Kingdom.<\/p>\n

Queen Elizabeth II finally accepted Charles\u2019 request and understood the importance of Diana to the British people.
