Just hours after the fatal accident where Princess Diana of Wales<\/strong>, better known as Lady Di<\/strong>, her ex-husband had a very strong exchange of words with his mother, the late Queen Elizabeth II. What could have been the reason for the argument?<\/p>\n

Even though the Princess<\/strong> had already divorced the prince Charles<\/strong>, who now is the King of England,<\/strong> King Charles II<\/strong>I, the British newspaper The Mirror<\/strong> revealed that Prince Charles<\/strong> was extremely affected by the death news, after all, she was the mother of their two children, Harry<\/strong>, and William<\/strong>, who were also left devastated after finding out about the fatal car accident.<\/p>\n

According to what was reported by The Mirror<\/strong>, between the late Queen Elizabeth II<\/strong> and the now King Charles III<\/strong> there were a lot of misunderstandings after the passing of Lady Di<\/strong>. The discussion was intense and the main reason for it was that Charles III<\/strong> thought the body of Diana should be repatriated<\/strong>, to be buried in her home country, The United Kingdom.<\/strong><\/p>\n

He was just an ex-husband<\/strong>, so he was only able to be there at the burial as the father of the children but not interfere or decide anything, since that was an affair for the Queen.<\/strong> The prince wanted to use the Royal Airplane<\/strong> to rush to Paris<\/strong> with his two kids, but the petition was denied by the Queen<\/strong>, initially at least.<\/p>\n

Many sources back then stated that Charles<\/strong> fought for Diana<\/strong> as he never had before, and he maintained a firm position and would not give up on his request. He was so persistent that the Queen<\/strong> later decided to concede and allowed him to take care of all the protocol and the matters regarding Lady Di\u2019s royal funeral.<\/strong><\/p>\n

That was how the prince Charles managed to arrive to Paris along with Diana\u2019s sisters, to take back to the UK the body of the Princess of the People<\/strong>, as she was known.<\/p>\n

Paul Burrel<\/strong>, who once was Diana\u2019s butler<\/strong>, was already at the hospital when the prince arrived. He also confirmed that Charles looked very affected by the event, and that he would barely speak.<\/p>\n

Burrel mentioned that he had never seen Charles so interested in her, not even when she was alive.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cCharles was devastated. She was a woman he loved, in his way\u201d.<\/p>\n

Charles then asked for the coffin to be covered with the Royal flag and that it should be treated as a royal event, with all that it involves.<\/p>\n

He finally gave her the place se deserved when she was alive, and his wife.<\/p>\n
