{"id":33388,"date":"2022-10-13T08:38:11","date_gmt":"2022-10-13T15:38:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.musicmundial.com\/en\/?p=33388"},"modified":"2022-10-13T08:38:11","modified_gmt":"2022-10-13T15:38:11","slug":"bts-v-beats-hybe-borahae","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.musicmundial.com\/en\/bts-v-beats-hybe-borahae\/","title":{"rendered":"BTS\u2019 V beats his record label on trial and wins intellectual property rights"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>HYBE<\/strong>, the manager company of the worldwide sensation group,<strong> BTS<\/strong>, has lost the request of the property of the word <strong>\u201cBORAHAE\u201d<\/strong>, due to the fact that it was originally created by one of the members of the group, V.<\/p>\n<p>The fans are celebrating the decision of the <strong>Korean Intellectual Property Office<\/strong>, <strong>KIPO<\/strong> by it\u2019s abbreviation, which grants <strong>Taehyung<\/strong>, better known for his artist\u2019s name, <strong>V<\/strong>, the rights to use and trademark the word, which has already been registered.<\/p>\n<p>The term<strong> BORAHAE<\/strong> was pronounced by the first time by <strong>V<\/strong> on a live transmission on <strong>2016<\/strong>, and since then, it gained popularity among the BTS members and their fans as a synonym for <strong>purple, trust, and love in the end<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The word got so popular that even the managing agency of <strong>BTS<\/strong> tried to trademark it to use it for commercial purposes on last June, but, as we mentioned before, <strong>the request was denied by the authorities of this cases.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" hcb-fetch-image-from=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=WMweEpGlu_U\" title=\"BTS (\ubc29\ud0c4\uc18c\ub144\ub2e8) &#039;Butter&#039; Official MV\" width=\"1240\" height=\"698\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/WMweEpGlu_U?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>When offering an explanation for the outcome of their investigation, the <strong>KIPO<\/strong> provided this statement:<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>\u201cThe term \u201cBORAHAE\u201d is a new word created by the BTS member, V, on a reunion with fans on November 13<sup>th<\/sup> of 2016\u201d<\/strong><\/em>, and also explained that the request could not be accepted for having a malicious intent.<\/p>\n<p><strong>KIPO<\/strong> added that the one and only person or brand with the right to use the word is not <strong>HYBE<\/strong>, but <strong>V<\/strong> himself, the creator of the word.<\/p>\n<p>In the document, <strong>KIPO<\/strong> also signals that <strong>Big Hit<\/strong> does not own the rights to the word even if<strong> V<\/strong> is part of their brand, due to them only having a work relationship.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>HYBE, the manager company of the worldwide sensation group, BTS, has lost the request of the property of the word \u201cBORAHAE\u201d, due to the fact that it was originally created by one of the members of the group, V.
