There’s a female group in the K-Pop<\/strong> market that has had a debut so successful, that they could be overtaking BLACKPINK<\/strong> in the near future.<\/p>\n

In South Korea<\/strong>, there an Institute of Business Investigation<\/strong> that monthly releases a study in the format of a ranking, which ranks the K-Pop<\/strong> artist by their reputation in the local market of the Asian<\/strong> country. The data they consider for this list includes the volume of the interactions with content related to each group, positive popularity, public’s perception of the brand of each member and the brand of the group as a whole as well.

On this month\u2019s ranking, which was revealed not long ago, the Institute counter all the data from the last 30 days,<\/strong> from September 8th to October 8th of the current year, of course. We can clearly see a positive tendency from a girl group that slowly but steadily is getting closer to the #1 spot.<\/strong><\/p>\n

As of now, the top 1 group in the nation is BLACKPINK<\/strong>, the girl group of the moment, which accumulated a total of 7.170.250 points<\/strong> on the index of popularity, an increase of at least 14% from last month. This is due to the release of their new album “BORN PINK”, on September 16th, and has captured all the attention of the social media.<\/p>\n

The second place is reserved for the historic #1 girl group in K-Pop, Girls’ Generation<\/strong>, who used to be the biggest female group in the market for almost a decade, managing to gather 4.267.366 points<\/strong> 15 years after their debut, impressive.<\/p>\n

The other group that is surprisingly high on the list is no other than IVE<\/strong>, whose popularity and positive branding grows stronger day by day, taking into account that this is a very young group, as they debuted less than a year ago<\/strong>, 9 months ago to be more exact, and with just 3 releases have been able t accumulate 4.143.670 points<\/strong>, reaching the third place, but quite close to the second place. A outstanding achievement for a group that has not had 10% of the time or activity of the two groups above them.<\/p>\n

If they play all their cards well, IVE<\/strong> could be dethroning<\/strong> BLACKPINK<\/strong> as the most popular and most consumed girl group in South Korea. NewJeans<\/strong> and aespa<\/strong> are the other two young groups on the list that reached high positions, at number 5 and 9 respectively. They could also give a big surprise in the future.<\/p>\n
