With BTS<\/strong>\u2019 member J-Hope<\/strong>\u2019s recent 28th birthday, a question has risen between fans, who seem to be worried about the group\u2019s future as they will irremediably have to face the obligatory military<\/strong> service in their native South Korea.<\/p>\n

In that country, men between 18 and 28 years old have the obligation<\/strong> to do military service for at least 2 years, which worries their fans, ARMYs, now that all 7 of the group members are in that age range.<\/p>\n

Since last year, BTS\u2019 promoting and managing company, HYBE<\/strong>, has made everything possible to attempt to delay the enrollment of the members in the tropes, they have even been confirmed to attempt to get a permanent exoneration of that legal obligation, with no apparent success.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s also worth noting that, up until the moment of this redaction, none of them has denied the possibility to pause their music careers to enlist<\/strong> themselves into the tropes of the national army.<\/p>\n

The discussion around the creation of a legal exoneration<\/strong> for the members of worldwide famous artists from the enrollment in the military service started in September of 2021, with a wide variety of opinions.<\/p>\n

The South Korean Army has expressed their unwillingness to change<\/strong> a millenary traditional law<\/strong> just for the benefit of a small portion of the population, however, however, they agreed to allow a delay<\/strong> for this type of instances of maximum 2 years, so KPOP Idols can delay their enrollment until they reach 30 years of age.<\/p>\n
