The girlgroup formed on the reality show \u201c<strong>Girls Planet 999<\/strong>\u201d late last year released the mini-album \u201c<strong>FIRST IMPACT<\/strong>\u201d with the title track and music video for \u201c<strong>WA DA DA<\/strong>\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>In all, 99 trainees competed in the competition, but only 9 were selected, <strong>Sakamoto Mashiro<\/strong>,\u00a0 <strong>Ezaki Hikaru<\/strong>, <strong>Kang Yeseo<\/strong>, <strong>Seo Youngeun<\/strong>, <strong>Kim Dayeon<\/strong>, <strong>Shoi Yujin<\/strong>, <strong>Kim Chaehyun<\/strong>, <strong>Huening Bahiyyih<\/strong>, and <strong>Shen Xiaoting<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cGirls Planet 999\u201d was a large-scale project launched by broadcaster Mnet in August this year that brought together young South Koreans, Chinese and Japanese.<\/p>\n<p>C<\/p>\n<p> All of them went through numerous <strong>auditions<\/strong> and <strong>tests<\/strong>, which naturally narrowed the number of participants, to gain the chance to officially debut. The choice of the name, it is worth mentioning, was based on suggestions from viewers.<\/p>\n<p> <strong>Mnet<\/strong> hit the hammer with Kep1er, which is pronounced \u201ckepler\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>You may also like: <\/p>\n<p>The first syllable of the <strong>name<\/strong> rhymes with the first syllable of &#8220;capture&#8221;, representing that the members captured their dreams. Meanwhile, the number 1 <strong>represents<\/strong> how members will come together and become the best of the best.<\/p>\n<p>According to the website\u00a0<strong>Koreaboo<\/strong>\u00a0, the choice may also be a tribute to the famous 17th century astronomer and astrologer\u00a0<strong>Johannes Kepler<\/strong>.
