On September 16, 2026, the Daily Mail published an excerpt from Swan Song: Diana, My Sister, in which Charles Spencer talks about an argument with then-Prince Charles shortly after Diana died on August 31, 1997. According to Spencer\u2019s words, Charles allegedly told him, \u201cWe\u2019ll forget her soon enough.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Spencer shared that the heated conversation began with a discussion about Prince William and Prince Harry, who were 15 and 12 at the time, walking behind their mother\u2019s coffin during her funeral procession. He claims the then prince expressed anger during the call before addressing Diana.
