Meanwhile, the Canadian-born artist began his solo career in April after deciding to part ways with both NCT and SM Entertainment, following 10 years with the group and the agency. A teaser for \u201cMy Friend\u201d shows Mark moving through several different settings, including a city and a forest. The visuals appear to represent a new chapter for the singer as he begins his career independently. The release marks his first opportunity to introduce new music under his own agency and direction since deciding to leave NCT.<\/p>\n<p>Upper Room also released a statement on September 3, 2026 regarding malicious online comments and attacks against Mark. The agency said it would take a firm position against harmful posts and pursue legal action when necessary. According to the statement, Mark has been especially concerned about the impact of malicious comments on his fans, worrying that they could experience stress and emotional harm because of the online attacks.
