Following the group\u2019s departure from their former agency and continuation as a nine-member act, Kevin has focused on individual projects. He recently explained that his upcoming music will reflect his frustration with parts of the industry and his desire to create something authentic. He said the project represents the message he genuinely wants to share. Kevin said music should be authentic and explained that difficult experiences helped shape his new project.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-pullquote\">\n        <blockquote><p>\u201cMusic is so subjective but to me the only objective take I have is that it should be authentic,\u201d he said on his X account.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n        <\/figure>\n        \n<p>He also criticized the South Korean industry culture, where artists may feel pressured to censor themselves or be extremely careful about what they say. He said he believes artists should not have to \u201cwalk on eggshells\u201d and suggested that many parts of K-pop have been built around that idea. \u201cI feel that 99% of the industry has been built on eggshells, \u201d he expressed.
