Cyclops is one of the original X-Men and has traditionally been one of the team\u2019s main leaders. His mutant ability allows him to release powerful optic blasts from his eyes. James Marsden previously played the superhero in the original X-Men movies and Tye Sheridan in the later Fox films. His casting was officially announced on August 6, 2026, marking Kit Connor\u2019s first appearance in the MCU.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Sadie Sink<\/strong> is also part of Marvel\u2019s plans for the mutant X-Men franchise. The Stranger Things actress has been confirmed to play Jean Grey, one of the most powerful members of the mutant team. She has already taken on the role, playing the telepathic superheroine in Spider-Man: Brand New Day alongside the film\u2019s protagonist, Tom Holland. Jake Schreier, who directed Thunderbolts, has been connected to the upcoming reboot as director.
