The first signs that Diana<\/strong> and Charles<\/strong> would have a difficult marriage began to emerge during their honeymoon when a gift from Camilla<\/strong> sparked their first major fight.<\/p>\n

To celebrate their marriage, the couple embarked on a 12-day Mediterranean tour<\/strong> aboard the royal yacht Britannia, where the then Prince of Wales caused a stir by wearing personalized cufflinks, a gift from his ex-girlfriend, Camilla Parker Bowles.<\/p>\n

Diana recalled this moment in recordings made for Andrew Morton’s 1992 biography and said, “Cufflinks arrive on his wrists\u2014two \u2018C\u2019s entwined like the Chanel \u2018C\u2019s. Got it in one; knew exactly. ‘Camilla gave you those, didn\u2019t she?'”<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

The late princess of Wales continued, revealing, “He said, \u2018Yes, so what\u2019s wrong? They\u2019re a present from a friend.\u2019 And, boy, did we have a row.”<\/strong><\/em> However, this wasn’t all because during this yacht trip she discovered two photos of Camilla falling out of her new husband\u2019s diary.<\/p>\n

Later in conversation with Morton in her 1995 Panorama interview she revealed she suffered from bouts of bulimia as she was becoming “obsessed by Camilla,”<\/strong><\/em> that she even said once “At night, I dreamt of Camilla the whole time.”<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n
