The Monarch of the United Kingdom has officially met officers and emergency responders involved in the response to last month&#8217;s fatal Bedford train collision.<\/p>\n<p>During the visit, King Charles III thanked the first responders for their professionalism following the tragic accident near Elstow, Bedfordshire, which claimed the life of a train driver and injured 162 more people. In addition, the King also toured the force&#8217;s new headquarters, where officers demonstrated specialist equipment, including a police drone, firearms resources, and capabilities to tackle crime across Britain\u2019s rail, showcasing the strong security the system has.
