On May 19, 2026, the mother of two posted a collection of pictures on Instagram to mark the special occasion. The former royal couple married on May 19, 2018, during a royal ceremony held at St. George\u2019s Chapel in Windsor. Meghan kept things simple but emotional by writing, \u201cEight years ago today\u2026\u201d alongside the images.<\/p>\n<p>The first batch of photos focused on moments from the daytime ceremony and reception. Different black and white images showed Meghan and Prince Harry spending endearing moments together after exchanging vows. One photo captured Harry looking at Meghan\u2019s wedding bouquet, while another showed singer Elton John playing piano during the reception. In her 2022 docuseries, \u201cHarry &amp; Meghan,\u201d The Duchess revealed that she wanted their dance to be upbeat, saying that she thought of the moment as being &#8220;just spinning like a whirlwind.\u201d In addition to the sweet throwback photos, Meghan took to her Instagram Stories to share several videos celebrating her anniversary. One of the clips shows Prince Harry holding a cake and singing &#8220;happy anniversary&#8221; to his wife, with the voices of Princess Lilibet and Prince Archie accompanying the song.
