Gunn remains one of the main creative heads behind the current DC Universe, and he is also producing Supergirl, which is set for a June 26, 2026, premiere. Other returning actors include The other confirmed cast members include Skyler Gisondo as Jimmy Olsen, Sara Sampaio as Eve Teschmacher, Isabela Merced as Hawkgirl, Nathan Fillion as Guy Gardner, and Edi Gathegi as Mister Terrific, according to Variety. New cast members are also joining the sequel. In December 2025, Lars Eidinger was announced as Brainiac. In March 2026, Aaron Pierre was reported to join the film as John Stewart. That pairing could give the sequel a very different dynamic from the first film, since Luthor is usually one of Superman\u2019s main enemies, as shown in the previous film.
