During a recent interview, Diplo<\/strong> talked about his role in the creation of BTS’ upcoming album ‘ARIRANG<\/strong>,’ generating enthusiasm with more details about what is coming soon in this comeback.<\/p>\n

In conversation with Broadway World<\/a>, the famous producer talked about how he got involved in this project, revealing that it was through Bang Si-hyuk, Chairman of HYBE<\/strong>, who brought him onto the project in late 2024 with a clear petition of what they wanted from him.<\/p>\n

“He was clear from the jump\u2014they didn\u2019t want a typical pop producer. They wanted someone who would take chances, someone who could help them build a project left of center and rebellious. I remember him saying, \u2018Let\u2019s do something revolutionary.”<\/p><\/blockquote>\n <\/figure>\n \n

With this in mind, Diplo said that the first references were “trip hop and old-school hip hop,”<\/strong><\/em> they also “went through tons of songs and spent months in the studio”<\/strong><\/em> building a sound “that felt unexpected but still true to them.”<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

“We brought in some sick collaborators, like my Bison writers, Flume, Jpegmafia, etc., but the goal was to let BTS\u2019 creativity shine and let them speak their stories as grown men\u2014to show evolution, depth, and perspective.”<\/p><\/blockquote>\n <\/figure>\n \n

The producer concludes by praising<\/strong> BTS members’ talent and dedication to this project that will take their genre and culture to the next level, as he said, “This project takes Korean music into the future.”<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n
