Previously, he had complained that <strong>Vogue<\/strong> put the singer on the cover wearing a dress, but he wasn&#8217;t the person who best represented this movement, he&#8217;s been doing it himself for a long time.<\/p>\n<p>A lot of people were mistaken in thinking that Porter had something against Harry Styles, but that&#8217;s not the case.<\/p>\n<p>So he even <strong>apologized<\/strong> to the singer. The conversation isn&#8217;t about you<\/strong><\/em>\u201d, he said.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n        <\/figure>\n        \n<p>You may also like: <\/p>\n<p>For Billy Porter, it&#8217;s more a cultural issue of giving value to those who really fight for related <strong>causes<\/strong>. For him, there is an erasure of people of color who contribute to <strong>culture<\/strong>. Therefore, he felt directly affected.<\/p>\n<p>But Harry Styles is not to blame.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-pullquote\">\n        <blockquote><p>\u201c<em><strong>I&#8217;m sorry, Harry. I didn&#8217;t mean to harm you. I&#8217;m a gay man. We like Harry, he&#8217;s cute!<\/strong><\/em>\u201d he added.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n        <\/figure>\n        \n<p>Harry Styles didn&#8217;t comment on the fact. I created the conversation (about non-binary fashion) and yet Vogue still put Harry Styles, a straight white male, in a dress on his cover for the first time<\/strong><\/em>\u201d the actor justified.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n        <\/figure>\n        \n<p>The artist was keen to point out that he has nothing personal with Harry Styles, but he questions the <strong>magazine<\/strong>&#8216;s decision.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-pullquote\">\n        <blockquote><p>\u201c<strong><em>I&#8217;m not badmouthing Harry Styles, but is he the one you&#8217;re going to try to use to represent this new conversation? He doesn&#8217;t care, he&#8217;s just doing it because it&#8217;s the right thing to do<\/em><\/strong>\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<p>\u201c<em><strong>This is politics for me. This is my life. I&#8217;ve had to fight my whole life to get to the place where I could wear an Oscar dress and not get killed.
