King Charles III<\/strong>\u2019s former royal butler has just revealed what he believes to be a sentimental reason behind the Monarch of the United Kingdom\u2019s choice of name upon ascending the throne. The former butler, Grant Harrold, worked for the then-Prince of Wales between 2004 and 2011.<\/p>\n

He admitted that he and his colleagues were completely convinced Charles would choose to reign as King George VI<\/strong>I. He explained that Charles\u2019 full name is Charles Philip Arthur George, leaving George as a plausible option. He also expected him to avoid the \u201cCharles\u201d<\/em> name since Charles I was executed for treason and Charles II was a womanizer.<\/p>\n

Then, Harrold explained the decision may have been shaped by his grandson, Prince George<\/strong>, who is second in line to the throne, just behind Prince William.
