Instead, the team plans to let Wednesday\u2019s story evolve naturally. According to the screenwriter, there\u2019s still a lot of room for the series to grow, and emphasized Wednesday herself, who showed just a hint of emotional evolution in season 1. Here&#8217;s how Miles sees the show moving forward:<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-pullquote\">\n        <blockquote><p>&#8220;We\u2019ll take as many seasons as Netflix wants to give us because we made a mistake with Smallville at one point. We had a five-year plan, and then the show went on for 10 years. So we\u2019re not going to get out in front of that. Jenna Ortega plays a 16-year-old, but with two years between seasons, it won\u2019t be long before that feels off. The show will eventually have to move beyond the Nevermore Academy setting. Just like Smallville moved past high school and into adulthood, Wednesday might need to grow up, too.
