But despite being away from the spotlight, his<strong> LGBTQ+<\/strong> fans are still shedding light on his contributions and the visibility he\u2019s brought to the community. The K-pop industry, as spectacular as it can be, it\u2019s also a part of a very conservative culture. For that reason, Jimin\u2019s bold and forward-thinking choices in fashion, music, and identity have made him gain love and appreciation from his queer fans.<\/p>\n<p>Let\u2019s rank five moments when the BTS member showed his support to the LGBTQ+ community, inspired by a thred posted from the @gxrepop fan account:<\/p>\n<p><strong>#01. Creating a safe space for a queer dancer<\/strong><br \/>\nOne of Jimin\u2019s backup dancers once shared on Instagram how Jimin made them feel seen, safe, and accepted. The dancer, who identifies as queer, opened up about years of hiding their identity and how performing with Jimin allowed them to finally embrace who they are on stage.<\/p>\n<p><strong>#02. Tattooing the bigender symbol<\/strong><br \/>\nFans noticed Jimin added the bigender symbol to his wrist, a reflection of gender inclusivity. Whether meant as a personal or supportive gesture, it speaks volumes in the K-pop industry, where gender expression is often tightly controlled.<\/p>\n<p><strong>#03. Honoring queer artist Robert Mapplethorpe<\/strong><br \/>\nIn another fashion-forward moment, Jimin wore trousers featuring iconic photographer Robert Mapplethorpe, famous for his portrayal of gay relationships and exploration of sexuality in art.<\/p>\n<p><strong>#04. Performing traditionally female dances<\/strong><br \/>\nJimin has often blurred gender lines in dance. His performance of Buchaechum, a neoclassical Korean fan dance typically performed by women, showcases his embrace of femininity in a traditionally male-dominated space.<\/p>\n<p><strong>#05.
