Despite he almost disappeared from the royal scene for a while, he wanted to prove to everyone that he could rule a monarchy even from bed, and he has been reflecting a lot on his last year.<\/p>\n<p>On April 30, <strong>the Monarch of the United Kingdom released an emotional statement where he opened up about his cancer diagnosis<\/strong>. Having the disease has certainly given me an even<strong> deeper appreciation<\/strong> of the extraordinary work undertaken by the remarkable organizations and individuals gathered here this evening, many of whom I have known, visited, and supported over the years.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n        <\/figure>\n        \n<p>When he was diagnosed with cancer, it was reported that the King was <strong>reduced to tears<\/strong> after thousands of people sent letters of support.
