In the latest Kookbang Ilbo poll<\/strong>\u2014South Korea\u2019s go-to military newspaper\u2014groups like aespa, BTS, and solo icon IU led the charge. In a survey asking soldiers which idols they want to see on a military concert tour, they were some of the hottest names.<\/p>\n

Held between April 4 and April 17 via The Camp app, the April edition of the Military Barracks Chart<\/strong> had 309 active-duty soldiers cast their votes. While girl groups clearly reign supreme in the barracks, BTS stood tall as the only boy group in the Top 10\u2014despite being on military hiatus.<\/p>\n

Let\u2019s break down the top 10 along with their results<\/p>\n

#10. BTS (1.9%)<\/strong>
\nThe only male act on the list, BTS proved their influence is untouchable\u2014even while serving. With 1.9% of the vote, they\u2019re the boys for the boys.<\/p>\n

\nWith their bold concepts and confident vibes, LE SSERAFIM earned solid love from soldiers who appreciate bangers like \u201cCRAZY.\u201d<\/p>\n

#08. BabyMonster (2.9%)<\/strong>
\nYG\u2019s rookie monster group is already making waves. Soldiers are watching this new-gen girl group rise.<\/p>\n

#07, QWER (3.2%)<\/strong>
\nThe band format is back, and QWER\u2019s unique style is catching military eyes. Live instruments and pop-rock? Yes, please.<\/p>\n

#06. NewJeans (3.6%)<\/strong>
\nEven with legal drama swirling, NewJeans still charmed their way into soldiers\u2019 playlists with their Y2K flair and viral hits.<\/p>\n

#05. NMIXX (4.9%)<\/strong>
\nQuirky, experimental, and energetic\u2014NMIXX\u2019s sound might be complex, but the military\u2019s loving every beat.<\/p>\n

#04. IVE (6.1%)<\/strong>
\nIVE\u2019s catchy tracks and glamorous aura earned them a comfy fourth spot. Soldiers clearly love a good dose of elegance.<\/p>\n

#03. IU (6.5%)<\/strong>
\nThe nation\u2019s sweetheart. IU\u2019s emotional vocals and timeless appeal struck a chord, reminding everyone she\u2019s always a South Korean star.<\/p>\n

#02. fromis_9 (16.2%)<\/strong>
\nBubbly beats and good vibes helped fromis_9 score big. Soldiers praised the girls for lifting their spirits during tough days. Not to mention, the girl group stuck together even after changing labels.<\/p>\n

#01. aespa (18.1%)<\/strong>
\nThe queens of the poll! aespa\u2019s futuristic sound and stage charisma stole the show. One soldier even said Karina helped him push through rough patches. That\u2019s idol therapy.<\/p>\n
