{"id":13528,"date":"2021-10-04T14:14:28","date_gmt":"2021-10-04T21:14:28","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.musicmundial.com\/en\/?p=13528"},"modified":"2023-01-15T23:46:26","modified_gmt":"2023-01-16T07:46:26","slug":"coldplay-and-bts-make-history-and-debut-at-1-on-the-distinguished-rolling-stone-chart-with-my-universe","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.musicmundial.com\/en\/coldplay-and-bts-make-history-and-debut-at-1-on-the-distinguished-rolling-stone-chart-with-my-universe\/","title":{"rendered":"Coldplay and BTS make HISTORY and debut at # 1 on the distinguished Rolling Stone Chart with &#8220;My Universe&#8221;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Coldplay<\/strong> and <strong>BTS<\/strong> continue to make history with their successful collaboration, as they have now achieved a # 1 on the Rolling Stone Chart that neither of the two recognized groups had previously been able to achieve.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u201cMy Universe,\u201d<\/strong> launched at Number One on the <strong>Rolling<\/strong> Stone <strong>Top 100 Songs chart,<\/strong> dethroning <strong>Drake\u2019s<\/strong> <strong>\u201cWay 2 Sexy.\u201d<\/strong> This marks both Coldplay and BTS\u2019 first Number One on the chart, and BTS make history as the first <strong>Korean<\/strong> act to top the RS 100.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMy Universe\u201d is a pop-funk love song \u2014 \u201cYou, you are, my universe\/And I, just want to put you first\u201d \u2014 with arena ambitions; it\u2019s co-written and co-produced by the Top 40 luminary Max Martin. The track amassed just 8.5 million streams, but like many BTS singles, it sold an impressive number of downloads, over 136,000.<\/p>\n<p> Drake\u2019s \u201cWay 2 Sexy,\u201d which features Future and Young Thug, earned roughly three times as many streams, but only 4,100 downloads, falling to Number Two.<\/p>\n<p>Even as \u201cWay 2 Sexy\u201d ended its run at Number One, Drake still maintained four different songs in the Top Ten a month after the release of Certified Lover Boy: His Right Said Fred-sampling hit was joined by \u201cKnife Talk,\u201d \u201cGirls Want Girls,\u201d and \u201cFair Trade,\u201d each of which pulled in more than 13 million streams. Lil Nas X enjoyed three Top Ten hits on last week\u2019s chart, but this week only one remained \u2014 \u201cIndustry Baby\u201d with Jack Harlow (Number Four, 20.<\/p>\n<p>6 million streams). The breezy, pop-radio-ready \u201cThat\u2019s What I Want\u201d fell to Number 12.<br \/>C<br \/>\n<\/p>\n<p>The <strong>Kid Laroi\u2019s \u201cStay\u201d<\/strong> \u2014 which has some of the same co-writers as \u201cThat\u2019s What I Want\u201d \u2014 held strong in the Top Ten as it has for several months.
