B.I<\/strong>, a former member of the K-Pop group iKON<\/strong>, had his sentence announced this Friday, September 10th, after involvement in a drug scandal. According to the South Korean court<\/strong>, the artist must serve 4 years of probation, 80 hours of community service, 40 hours of a course on drug treatment and payment of a fine of 1.5 million won.<\/p>\n

As reported by the Soompi<\/strong> website, in late August the prosecutor in the case issued a 3-year prison order for B.I, which was indicted in May this year on suspicion of buying and using marijuana<\/strong> and LSD<\/strong> in 2016. At the first hearing, the artist declared:<\/p>\n

“I admit to all these accusations and am self-reflective<\/strong><\/em>“.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n <\/figure>\n \n

He also submitted an apology letter<\/strong>. The court, however, stated that what B.I did “cannot be considered a crime that occurred out of simple curiosity<\/strong><\/em>” If he fails to serve the prescribed sentence or commits any other offense during those 4 years of probation, he will face 3 years in prison.<\/p>\n
