The K-Pop group THE BOYZ<\/strong> recently made his comeback with mini-album “THRILL-ING<\/strong>” and launched the title track “Thrill Ride<\/strong>” with a modern and luxurious costumes. What no one expected is that the group would get involved in a plagiarism controversy<\/strong> with the Dior<\/strong> brand.<\/p>\n

According to the website Koreaboo<\/strong>, the stylist<\/strong> responsible for THE BOYZ is being accused of copying<\/strong> Dior Homme’s style<\/strong>. The looks were used by the artists last week during the show \u201cM COUNTDOWN<\/strong>\u201d for the performance of \u201cThrill Ride\u201d.<\/p>\n

Soon after, fans and the South Korean community noticed similarities<\/strong> between the designer’s clothes and Dior’s products<\/strong>, in particular Hyunjae’s blouse<\/strong> and Q’s jacket<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Both pieces feature a collegiate-style<\/strong> design comprised of a laurel wreath with the word \u201cTHRILL-ING\u201d emblazoned over it in a red varsity font with the word \u201cTHRILL\u201d written upside down. Smaller white letters around the circumference show the lyrics of the song, “We thrill-thrilling out<\/strong>“, and the space between the laurel branches reads, “TBZ<\/strong>“.<\/p>\n

When you compare the design to the Dior Homme Spring-Summer 2018 menswear collection<\/strong>, it’s impossible to ignore the similarities. Both designs include a laurel wreath outline, similar letters in red varsity (including the word upside down), and smaller white letters around the exterior.<\/p>\n

The only difference is the designer’s design featuring the words \u201cChristian Dior<\/strong>\u201d, \u201cLATE NIGHT<\/strong>\u201d, and \u201cPARIS<\/strong>\u201d.<\/p>\n

It is important to remember that THE BOYZ was involved, but the group has no direct relationship with the controversy.<\/p>\n

The agency Cre.ker Entertainment<\/strong> has not yet commented on the charges<\/strong> against the stylist.<\/p>\n
