In recent days, Kate Middleton<\/strong>‘s new portrait received a strong negative reaction among followers of the British royal family, which stated that ‘It’s an insult<\/strong><\/em>‘, generating another controversy regarding royal painting, as happened with King Charles III<\/strong> last week.<\/p>\n

In the most recent Tatler<\/strong> cover, they expose a new portrait of the Princess of Wales by the artist Hannah Uzor, wearing her iconic Jenny Packham<\/strong> dress with embellished shoulders, the “lover’s knot<\/strong><\/em>” tiara, a bracelet from Queen Elizabeth II, and earrings from Princess Diana, in her appearance at the first state banquet of Charles III’s reign in 2022.<\/p>\n

Due to Kate Middleton not posing for the portrait, the artist examined more than 189,000 photos of the princess to ‘capture her likeness<\/strong><\/em>‘. She even said, “It’s really important to capture the soul of the person, so I spent a lot of time looking at her and looking at her<\/strong><\/em>“, referring to her in different moments of her life.<\/p>\n

Despite Hannah Uzor<\/strong>‘s efforts, her work did not receive great support after its release to the public, as it received many negative comments criticizing its lack of resemblance to the Princess of Wales, such as:<\/p>\n

“A very poor portrait that totally fails to represent the beauty and elegance of the Princess of Wales<\/strong><\/em>“, “That portrait on the cover is horrid! It’s an insult to HRH Catherine Princess of Wales<\/strong><\/em>“, “Who ever did it should be ashamed & embarrassed!<\/strong><\/em>“, among many others.<\/p>\n
