\nThe palace previously issued a statement notifying the public about the surgery and the Princess of Wales’ condition on Wednesday, Jan. 17.
\n“The surgery was successful, and she is expected to remain in hospital for 10 to 14 days, before returning home to continue her recovery,” said the palace statement, shared with HuffPost. “Based on current medical advice, it is unlikely that she will return to her public duties until after Easter.”
\n“She (Kate Middleton) \u00a0hopes the public understands her desire to maintain as much normalcy as possible for her children; and her wish for her personal medical information to remain private.”
