On January 7th, during the prestigious Golden Globes 2024<\/strong> gala, ‘Oppenheimer<\/strong>‘ and ‘Poor Things<\/strong>‘ proved to be superior to ‘Barbie<\/strong>‘ by completely overshadowing it in this 81st edition of the awards, as Christopher Nolan<\/strong>‘s film won the award for best drama of the year, according to the voting.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, ‘Poor Things’ swept the ‘best comedy or musical<\/strong>‘ category where ‘Barbie’ was also participating, and although many thought that Greta Gerwig’s delivery would take all the awards of the night, it was not so, as its main opponent ‘Oppenheimer’ overshadowed its success<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Oppenheimer was the top winner<\/strong> of the night, taking the award in 5 categories: Christopher Nolan won over Greta Gerwig in ‘Best Director<\/strong>‘ and ‘Best Actor in a Drama<\/strong>‘ for Cillian Murphy; Robert Downey Jr. receive the award for ‘Best Supporting Actor<\/strong>‘, while ‘Soundtrack<\/strong>‘ went to Ludwig G\u00f6ransson and the movie also got ‘Best Motion Picture<\/strong>‘.<\/p>\n
