In recent reports, Variety names BLACKPINK‘s Lisa as one of the ‘International Film and TV Breakouts of the Year’ alongside major film stars who have dominated the entertainment scene with their incredible talent.
This 2025 brought to the industry new acting talents in front of and behind the cameras, new faces that became winners of important awards, and also a K-Pop star debuted as an actress, becoming a huge success.
Recently, Variety made a list recognizing these stars, including Lisa for her acting debut in the third season of the HBO hit series ‘The White Lotus,’ playing Mook, a small character that, despite her few appearances, was enough to gain prestige in the industry.
“Her casting broadened the show’s global reach and marked a notable step outside Hollywood’s usual casting playbook,” said Variety.
Now, the BLACKPINK member continues to open her way in the cinema since it was announced that she is preparing to appear in Netflix‘s ‘Tygo,’ a standalone film set within the ‘Extraction’ action saga universe alongside famous actor Don Lee.
