BTS returns with new music after military service
BTS reunited as seven members with the release of their fifth full-length album, ARIRANG, on March 20, 2026. The project marked the boy group’s first studio album after military service and brought RM, Jin, SUGA, J Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook back together after a 3-year hiatus. During that break, most members released solo music and explored their individual careers, as the group could not work as a full team. But despite these individual ventures, the members still see BTS as their main artistic priority.
V answers directly when BTS discusses solo plans
In a March 2026 interview with Bloomberg, the BTS members were asked whether their solo work had ever made them consider remaining soloists rather than continuing as a group. V responded with a direct response, saying, “If anyone was that shameless, I would hit them.” This not only marked a playful comment that made the rest of the members smile, but it also reflected the strong bond inside the group.
Q. After successful solo work, did any of you guys think okay now i am just going to go solo?

Jin and Suga explain why BTS still comes first
Jin and Suga also responded, making the group’s positions even clearer. Jin expressed that they enjoy promoting as a group more, regardless of their solo success. Then, Suga added that their solo music was primarily released during their military service, confirming that their solo projects came mostly from their separation at that time. BTS is now moving forward again as a group, and the seven singers recently performed their song “SWIM” at Gwanghwamun Square on March 21, 2026, in an event streamed globally through Netflix.
