TWICE’s Dahyun has always been recognized for speaking her mind when she feels the need to. This time, the idol has shared one heartbreaking moment during her journey as an idol while being a minor.
On December 19, Dahyun made a special appearance on Hyeri’s show, Hyell’s Club. The two girl group legends got to know each other better by sharing a meal while discussing all the accolades of their impressive careers.
For the first time, Dahyun wanted to address why she chose to cover up more in the last couple of years, and the pressure she faced to wear revealing performing outfits during the early days of TWICE, explaining:
“In the early days of my debut, I was shy. I was in my first or second year of high school. Since I was a high school student, showing bare skin…especially the shoulder… I was like, ‘is this allowed? Is this okay?’ I was only 17. I felt kind of shy.”
The idol took this experience as a learning moment for her career, explaining that sometimes, showing these new sides of her, fans might like, so it could be nice to try new things sometimes, even if she is afraid to.
