Thor is officially back in the brand new teaser for “Avengers: Doomsday,” released on December 30, 2025. Chris Hemsworth appears not only as a hero but also as a father. He is seen praying to his onscreen dad, Odin, hoping for a safe return to the young girl from the 2022 film “Thor: Love and Thunder,” played by Hemsworth’s real-life daughter, India Rose.

“Father, all my life, I have answered every call to honor, duty, to war. But now fate has given me something I never sought: a child, a life untouched by the storm,” he says, referring to Love.

The trailer’s text literally confirms the hero’s comeback with  “Thor Will Return in Avengers: Doomsday,” convincing fans once and for all. Just a week earlier, on Dec. 23, the first teaser dropped, revealing Chris Evans is back as Steve Rogers, showing his character, Captain America, cradling a newborn. That teaser showed Captain America cradling a newborn.

Both actors began their MCU journey in 2011. Thor last appeared in Taika Waititi’s “Love and Thunder,” where he took on dad duties and had a comedic touch with loose vibes. In the film, the actor became Love’s adoptive father and adventure buddy. Meanwhile, Captain America’s latest appearance came in 2019’s “Avengers: Endgame,” with the actor passing down his Captain America shield to Sam Wilson.

“Avengers: Doomsday” hits theaters December 18, 2026. Expect people to leave the cinema levitating from excitement. The hype is real, and fans are ready to scream.
