The Korean Business Research Institute has become one of the most popular sources of information for the brand’s reputation rankings for idol groups monthly. That’s why K-Netizens are always on the edge of their sofa, waiting for the rankings and understanding the dynamics of the results. This time, BTS has shone brighter than ever.
The rankings were determined through an analysis of the consumer participation, media coverage, interaction, and community indexes of various boy groups, using big data collected from May 13 to June 13. It became a special day as it was also BTS’ 13th anniversary, marking another great milestone in their anniversary.
BTS held onto their spot at the top of the list with a brand reputation index of 10,065,171 for June. The rank is easily explained as the idols are currently embarked on a massive world tour, recently released an album, and became the talk of the town for a while. Ultimately, BTS’s positivity-negativity analysis also revealed a score of 92.98 percent positive reactions.
In second place, the rookie boy group under the same agency as BTS, CORTIS, saw a whopping 147.44 percent increase in their brand reputation index since May. Recently, the boys performed in South Korea at a viewing party for the 2026 FIFA World Cup. Surprisingly, SEVENTEEN came in third place in brand reputation, meaning they are gaining territory again in the Kpop scene. Congratulations to the top 3!
